Iraq and the 2008 Democrat Primaries

Thursday, 5 June, 2008

Obama has been named his party’s candidate for the upcoming presidential election in November 2008 because, according to many commentators, he was against the Iraq war before it started. while Mrs. Clinton voted with the vast majority of senators to give Mr. Bush permission to begin it.

I have also noticed an increasing number of former Clinton allies stating that intemperate comments about Obama by Mr. Clinton might also have helped ensure Mrs. Clinton’s defeat.

Nevertheless it will be interesting to see how Mr Obama, especially in light of his recent victory pledges to Israel, will implement his promised withdrawal from Iraq.

Strategic voting for Mrs. Clinton then and now
