The Wall

The paragraph that follows has been pasted from an Associated Press article used by Time online to continue the accusation that journalists have kept making (fact check anybody) since Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president said he wanted to build a wall to stop the influx of illegal invaders from Mexico. The wall according to what Mr. Trump had said; though I did get his intentions expressed in media reports was based on his distinction between people who enter U.S.A. illegally and those enter the U.S.A. legally for whom it would not make sense to build a wall, for legal immigrants would already be held back by the figurative wall of law and regulation.  So the A.P.journalist who wrote the article from which the paragraph below was taken was continuing to charge now President Trump with being anti immigrant and likely a racist when he mixes “drug cartels” with immigrants ‘”bad hombres,” to imply that President Trump thinks ” immigrants” are as bad as “drug cartels” which are illegal organization while immigrants are individual people. Illegal immigrants are individual people seeking to skirt immigration law, some of whom do the “bad hombres” street crime that President Trump wants to prevent by building a wall.

…The excerpt of the call did not make clear who exactly Trump considered “bad hombres,” — drug cartels, immigrants, or both — or the tone and context of the remark, made in a Friday morning phone call between the leaders. It also did not contain Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s response…
